Busy Bee

While I was visiting my parents a few weekends ago I popped into an estate sale & came out with an incredible deal.
We've been looking for a piece of furniture for some extra storage in the kitchen. You see, there is ample storage in the kitchen, but nothing that I can reach...even with a stepladder!! I am really not that short, but the cabinets are REALLY high.

Anyways, for $25....


This is right when we drug it in the house. Dirty. Grimey & Basementy. Also, the drawer was a little broken.
(Isn't my little helper cute?)



Much Nicer after some furniture polish and a good cleaning.

I really love the detail on the glass door. Of course, it needs to be fixed a little. And we still have to put the original knob back on the drawer too.
Not too bad for $25 bucks.


Also, I wish I had taken a before photo of this. It was hideous. I decided I really needed it.
Originally, it was a clear/brown color & I think considered a very large vase. But I got it for 50cents at the thrift store.

I took it home and gave it a nice warm & soapy bath. Then primed and painted Rustoleum Heirloom White.

It will look great out on our porch with a plant or a flower pot in it.

Now we are moved in (but not unpacked!) And waiting patiently for pro pics (which I will post asap!) Since I am now an unemployed housewife....I can blog like, all the time. Except now that my life isn't all about WEDDING WEDDING WEDDING. What the hell can I blog about?
